This image was taken in Malaga, Spain, the first stop on my European travels. Immersed in this new city I expected to feel alive in, I experienced the most anxiety I’ve felt in a long time. It became a lesson for me in how to strike the balance between exploring new experiences while also staying grounded and looking after my nervous system.

I love this image for it’s simplicity and contrast between hard lines of the building and the soft colour palette. For me it represents balance, the yin and the yang, hard and soft, chaos and calm.
